BIKE RIDING ROUTE DETAILS

  • Day 1 New Delhi/ Chandigarh On arrival in New Delhi/ Chandigarh we board bus & leave for Manali.
  • Day 2 Manali Arrival in Manali. Our team will brief about the arrangements. Introduction to motor bikes followed by a tour towards Solang & Leh – Manali highway. Later in the evening free time for leisure activities.
  • Day 3 Manali – Keylong – Jispa Well begun, they say is half done! And surely this is a good beginning as just out of Manali, start the spectacular 52 KM journey to Rohtang Pass. As you gain height & reach the bewitching Rohtang Pass, being here is literally like feeling on top of the world! The trees will disappear, & vast & lush grasslands will be seen. Pass through the Lahaul Valley where there are mountains capped with snow all around. Enjoy the mountain dinner.
  • Day 4 Jispa – Sarchu Upon feasting your eyes to a wonderful sunrise over the mountains, start your bike expedition from where you left off. This part of your excursion will take you through Baralacha Pass. From there, head towards Sarchu which forms the border line between Kashmir & Himachal. From there, reach the Sarchu camp. Relax for the rest of the day & keep it high on fluids.
  • Day 5 Sarchu – Leh This day, we start for our best & the longest ride of the trip. Cross the Tanglang-La Pass which is the second highest motorable mountain pass in the world at the height of 5300 meters. After crossing the pass, you will have to bike through well maintained roads all the way to Leh. After the Tanglang-La, welcomes us to small villages, green fields & “JULLEY!” – a greeting in the Ladakhi language will add life to the relative straight road to Leh. Check-in at the hotel in the borders of Changspa. Spend evening chilling out at the place.
  • Day 6 Leh Today we visit Shey Palace – summer retreat by the kings of Ladakh, Hemis Gompa – wealthiest & biggest monastery in Leh, Shanti Stupa – to promote world peace & prosperity. Also visit Hall of Fame War Museum. Later in the evening we visit Leh market for local shopping.
  • Day 7 Khardungla Pass – Nubra Valley This morning, your wonderful motorcycle tour will involve driving towards the world’s highest motorable road- Khardungla Pass. This day is one of the most important day of our Ladakh motorbike trip. Also visit the Future Buddha at Dikshit Monastery. Continue visit to Panamik Hot Springs.
  • Day 8 Nubra Valley – Pangong Lake Today we will visit beautiful Pangong Lake & Three Idiots shooting Point. This famous blue blackish lake of Pangong with half of it running to the other side of the Indo-China border has an experience of its own. Its an important breeding ground for migratory birds like Brahmani Ducks, Rare black necked cranes & Seagulls.
  • Day 9 Pangong Lake – Leh This morning we leave for Leh. Halt at the Changla Pass & go forward to an army checkpoint at Tangse. This will be the last day at Leh. While in Leh of course you aren’t short of things to do enjoy a great view of the Indus Valley & the Zanskar range & go closer to nature. Shopping around the local markers & trying the street food in the evenings can be a good plan too for the final day in this land of beauty!
  • Day 10 Leh – Sarchu Riding on the bank of Indus River & crossing most beautiful valley in Ladakh. Moving within the valley, and reaching the mid-way of Pang. Taking the same route to Sarchu.
  • Day 11 Sarchu – Manali This is the final leg of our ritual road trip as we traverse the same challenging route back to Manali. In the morning, drive through the Sarchu plain & reach the Baralacccha plain till noon. Enjoy a smooth ride up the Lahaul ranges & reach Rohtang pass. The route is slightly rough, so this day we shall & cover the maximum distance with minimum stopovers.
  • Day 12 Manali – New Delhi This is the last day of the adventurous Manali to Leh tour. Later in the day we board bus for New Delhi.
  • Day 13 – New Delhi – Train Journey This morning arrival in New Delhi. Later in the afternoon we board train/Flight for our respective destination.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

  • Service Deposit of Rs 5,000/- per motorbike (This is refundable at the end of the trip)
  • Trip schedule is subjected to change as per roads, weather & other unavoidable conditions so take a day or two in buffer. This is not an ordinary place its “Leh”. Only Team Members have the right to take decision depending on above.
  • Strictly no suitcase/ trolley bags are not allowed. Only 1 backpack bag is allowed in Backup Vehicle.
  • 100% refund policy if the trip got cancelled or called off by Edutrotters.
